Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE)
Bridging Classroom Learning with Field Realities
The Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) program is a vital component of the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture curriculum at PGP College of Agricultural Sciences (PGPCAS), designed to provide final-year students with hands-on exposure to rural and agricultural life. This experiential learning initiative aims to develop a deeper understanding of farming practices, rural livelihoods, and agricultural extension activities.
Objectives of RAWE
-
To expose students to real-world farming conditions and rural community dynamics
-
To enhance practical skills in crop production, farm management, and extension services
-
To strengthen communication and problem-solving abilities through interaction with farmers
-
To prepare students for roles in agricultural development, research, and policy implementation
