TNAU Affiliation
PGP College of Agricultural Sciences (PGPCAS) is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, one of India’s premier institutions for agricultural education. Through this affiliation, PGPCAS adheres to the academic regulations, syllabus framework, and examination standards of TNAU, ensuring that students receive a recognized and rigorous agricultural degree in line with national and global standards.
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) originated in 1868 as an agricultural school in Saidapet, Chennai, and was later relocated to Coimbatore. It was officially established as a university in 1971. TNAU is recognized as one of the top agricultural universities in India for its role in advancing research, education, and rural development.
TNAU is ranked among the top agricultural institutions in India by ICAR and has played a crucial role in India’s Green Revolution and agricultural modernization.

MoU in 2019 outlined responsibilities regarding infrastructure, academic quality, admission procedures, and compliance with TNAU and Tamil Nadu Government norms to retain affiliation and operate successfully.
Our Recent Graduation Ceremony

The Third Graduation Ceremony of PGPCAS was graced by Dr. Apoorva, IAS (Retd.), who served as the Chief Guest. A respected leader in agricultural governance, she inspired graduates with her vision for sustainable farming and rural development.
The event was presided over by Dr. Palani G. Periasamy, Chairman, PGP Group, and Dr. N. O. Gopal, Principal, PGPCAS, who congratulated the graduating students and reaffirmed the college’s dedication to agricultural excellence.
